Coaches FAQ
How are rainouts communicated?
Home rainouts are communicated on our website (holdensportsassociation.org), you will see a rainout status on homepage and the right side of each page on our website. We will also communicate rainouts to the HSA Coaches groupme groups and the Holden Sports Association facebook page. It is the coach’s responsibility to communicate rainouts to your parents/teams. Coaches also need to communicate home rainouts to opposing team head coach. Head coach phone numbers for each division can be found at glennshippyleague.com under schedules.
How do I reschedule a rainout?
It is the coach’s responsibility to reschedule any rainouts. To do this, the first step is to view home field availability on our website. Coaches will need to communicate with opposing team’s coach to settle on an open date. Once this date is agreed upon, coaches need to contact HSA field/umpire coordinators to ensure fields are set and umpires are scheduled. The rescheduled game will be updated on the website once this process is complete.
Do players have to participate in trash bag fundraiser?
We encourage each family to participate in our spring trash bag fundraiser to help offset the cost of field material, umpires, field workers, mowing, and maintenance of the facility. If you do not wish to participate, we also have buyout options. HSA is self-funded and receives no city/county funding.
